We had our first mini culmination meet and it went pretty well. Our group assigned all the tasks and started working on them. Some people weren't as cooperative but they came around and now our group is started on the project.

Recovery Systems
I was with Cecelia and Jackie in the Recovery Systems station. In the station we made parachutes out of plastic bags, string, and tape. Our passengers were sand filled balloons. My parachute wasn't very successfull due to the weird design and I didn't quite put the blow dryer in the right spot. Bernoulli's Law applies to this station.

Remote Repairs
I was in the Remote Repairs lab with Anna and Lena. This labb was based on communication. Our group communicated really well because Anna and I had the same lego structures we had described. I'm not sure about Lena's though but i'm sure they did well too.

Launching From the Moon
Today Amalia, Hannah, and I did the launching from the moon today. Our task was to be able to transport objects such as batteries and straws to the "moon" (Top of the wall) using fishing line and baloons. We spent like 285,000$ and succeeded to transport a straw and a battery. I learned that the tighter I pulled the fishing wire the more steady and less shaky the launcher went up to the moon. I also learned not to let Hannah blow a balloon beacause when it popped her saliva splashed everywhere and gave me a mini shower! I wonder how to transport things simpler with less balloons?

Robotix
Today in Robotix wehad to build a little robot car that could lift and carry a small load. There were many parts to choose from to make it but I was supprised how little parts we used and how many motors we used. Our group was on the verge of putting our final product together, then we dropped it, it broke, and then it was time to clean up. I learned that even the most simplest of things require much consideration and thought to build.

Motion Detector Lab
Today in MM's core we did the motion detector stations. I do not think that you can have positive velocity with no acceleration because you need acceleration to have velocity, right? If a person is walking away from the detector the graphs would both be jagged and would be rising. I think the graphs were messy, especially the one where we tried to make it as straight as possible , were due to human error because when people walk their bodies go up and down. But I am afraid that this was inevitable.

Softball on the Moon
If I have recently moved to the moon where the acceleration is 1.6m/s2 I think that catching a softball would be different. For starters the ball wouldn't come back down as hard because the gravitational pull isn't as hard. Also it would take less force to throw the softball.
